A Hawaiian Shape Shifter Story

In the eight years I lived in Hawaii there were many stories. This one was from a credible source.
" You probably get accounts from people all the time but my aunt told us of a time when an old man came out of the forest at dusk and stood in the water..She and her friends were not too far from him and just watched ike it was'nt unusual to see something like that.Seconds later, the man shifted shapes into a shark and swam off. This happened not too long ago and they knew of a tale of a man that does this. They could not believe what they saw but did not freak about it.Spirits or whatever know who can tune in to them and wil test you to see how you react.None of her friends came back that evening except her and she observed him as a shark, shift back into a man and quietly make his way back into the forest. My famiy in Hawaii have recently told us of other situations and they know if you don't freak out, they will let themseves be known to you.So much more to tell everyone but someday maybe...Aloha"

Wow! Very cool! Where in Hawaii did you live? My husband and I just came back from Oahu about 2 weeks ago. We LOVE Hawaii and want to move there!

Thanks Michelle.I dearly loved it there. For a while the lower salary and higher food evened out with the heat/airconditioning not needed and fewer clothes.however I realized as getting older needed to come back.If I am ever homeless tho that is where I would rather be.i kived on Ohau in Kaneohe and woeked at Hawaii State Hospital and then Hawaii Loa College for a time.

I don't know how I'd react to that. I think I'd be more freaked out at the possibility of being bitten by the ghost shark.

So do you really think this happened? Hawaii definitely has its share of stories and spiritual beings but I mean do you think this happened for real? Did anyone offer any ideas of who this man was and how he’s able to do this, his origins, etc? I’d love to know more!
