Problems Of Present Related To Past Life?

Sometime ago I mentioned Sylvia Browne's research that began with birthmarks from which she discovered many cases that related to death injuries from past lives later expanded to include various experiences from past lives influencing present behavior.Wgether you believe in this form of regression therapy or not, there are some interesting stories related to it.I found this recently:
"Psychiatrist and past-life therapist Dr. Ed Klein talked about how he uses hypnosis to heal patients of phobias caused by traumas that occurred during a previous lifetime. Klein believes a person's soul can leave the physical body and travel to an "in between state," where it remains until it goes into another body. The subconscious, a part of the soul that stores all of the memories and knowledge gained from past lives, is transferred (albeit imperfectly) to the new incarnation, he added.

According to Klein, going back via hypnosis to experience significant parts of a past life, including death, can often lead to healing in the present. As an example, he discussed his work with a patient named Carol who had a severe fear of heights. Klein said he regressed Carol back to a past life where she recalled being a teenager in a village that was under attack by armed men on horseback. The men used spears to force Carol off a cliff, Klein said, noting that after she confronted her previous death she lost her fear of heights. "

Tunnels Under California?

Underworld regions, hollow earth stories and such have been fascinating readers for a long time. This was an interesting one discovered recently on Stephen Wagner"s About Paranormal.
"According to an article "California Floats On Ocean?' in Search magazine Fall edition 1985, a high ranking but unnamed Naval Officer told of the discovery of a range of tunnels under parts of the Western US. He said nuclear submarines have explored some of these tunnels which are accessible just off the continental shelfand had followed then inland for several hundred miles.
Other highlights include
What is being passed off as the San Andreas Fault is actually large unsupported chambers which are on the verge of collapsing.

A well known US Nuclear Sub actually lost its way in one of the passages and was never heard of again,( Actually two have disappeared under mysterious circumstances,,The USS Thresher and The USS Scorpion.)

Some of California is actually floating on the ocean. When oil companies began pumping oil from under the city of Long Beach it began to sink-up to 26 feet before the pumping stopped.

I am quite unsure of the truth of this but remember the warnings from psychics years ago that California was going to drop off the US???

History In The Remaking?

This interesting bit of news comes from Newsweek.A dig in Turkey challenges belief about the beginning of lifr the article says.Even a few staid archeologists who are so slow to change their thiking believe this is it...
"They call it potbelly hill, after the soft, round contour of this final lookout in southeastern Turkey. To the north are forested mountains. East of the hill lies the biblical plain of Harran, and to the south is the Syrian border, visible 20 miles away, pointing toward the ancient lands of Mesopotamia and the Fertile Crescent, the region that gave rise to human civilization. And under our feet, according to archeologist Klaus Schmidt, are the stones that mark the spot—the exact spot—where humans began that ascent.
Standing on the hill at dawn, overseeing a team of 40 Kurdish diggers, the German-born archeologist waves a hand over his discovery here, a revolution in the story of human origins. Schmidt has uncovered a vast and beautiful temple complex, a structure so ancient that it may be the very first thing human beings ever built. The site isn't just old, it redefines old: the temple was built 11,500 years ago—a staggering 7,000 years before the Great Pyramid, and more than 6,000 years before Stonehenge first took shape. The ruins are so early that they predate villages, pottery, domesticated animals, and even agriculture—the first embers of civilization. In fact, Schmidt thinks the temple itself, built after the end of the last Ice Age by hunter-gatherers, became that ember—the spark that launched mankind toward farming, urban life, and all that followed.

Göbekli Tepe—the name in Turkish for "potbelly hill"—lays art and religion squarely at the start of that journey. After a dozen years of patient work, Schmidt has uncovered what he thinks is definitive proof that a huge ceremonial site flourished here, a "Rome of the Ice Age," as he puts it, where hunter-gatherers met to build a complex religious community. Across the hill, he has found carved and polished circles of stone, with terrazzo flooring and double benches. All the circles feature massive T-shaped pillars that evoke the monoliths of Easte...

Schmidt's thesis is simple and bold: it was the urge to worship that brought mankind together in the very first urban conglomerations. The need to build and maintain this temple, he says, drove the builders to seek stable food sources, like grains and animals that could be domesticated, and then to settle down to guard their new way of life. The temple begat the city."

It is not as large as Stonehedge but predates it and is vast in numbers of the circles..Full article here:

Guest Editor On Divining Rods

Happy to have Gail Sheldon as a Guest Editor for the look at use of Rods. She and Jim have a shop on Etsy featuring their Divining Rods. The video shows some of those available at http://psychshop.etsy.com

In the profile she says "I have been Divining for over 25 years both professionaly and privately.
We live on the treasure coast of Florida and I also belong to a paranormal investiagation team.
I have been designing and using L-rods for water, electrical professionaly for years and lately for treasure and ghost hunting and a finder of lost items.
The rods are tested and made by a professional dowser. I know you will love these acurate rods. we make several differnt styles for your pocket book or ease in travel. so trust that each rod will perform at their top ability."

Ghost Hunting with dowsing rods

Dowsing has been around for centuries for finding water and other natural elements, as in ore and precious gem mining. It was called rhabdomancy which the dictionary defines as: (from the Greek) Divination by means of a wand or rod, especially for discovering underground water or ores.

Dowsing or divining can be used for finding many different things and in our present day it has been used by; oil refineries, farmers, well drillers, treasure hunters and police detection use. Dowsing as been used by the military during World War II and the Viet Nam war for finding enemy targets. It was widely publicized and met with excellent success rates.

Today the dowsing rod is very popular in ghost hunting and more!

By looking at the method in which the rods works you can compare them to sophisticated
Electronic equipment for detecting energy fields. You can test their sensitivity by using them along with an EMF meter (electromagnetic field detector). Your rods will move to detect physical manifestations that require an amount of energy, just like an EMF meter. The nice thing about your rods is it cannot experience battery energy drain like an EMF meter!

Quantum physics teaches us that everything in the universe is a mass of molecules that vibrate and has an energy field. Even the very thoughts in your brain, are waves which is an energy field that can be measured. Every bit of energy vibrates and puts out waves which can be measured in one way or another. Your divining rods can pick up and detect these fields when trained to tune into the vibration, just like a tuning fork.

Purchasing Rods
There are many rods for sale on the internet or at stores.
What you should look for:
Material that is electronically sensitive like Brass, which is the best material then cooper, is the next sensitive material.
The rods should be the same length and have the same arc at the 90 degree bend.
They do not have to be cut from the same stock. There is no electrical evidence that being cut from the same stock can help you detect energy better.
How handy are they to carry.
Note: The handles maybe made of any material you find comfortable.

History Of Valentines Day

There is an interesting post on the History Channel site. I took the liberty of lifting part of it.
"Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. But who is this mysterious saint and why do we celebrate this holiday? The history of Valentine's Day — and its patron saint — is shrouded in mystery. But we do know that February has long been a month of romance. St. Valentine's Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. So, who was Saint Valentine and how did he become associated with this ancient rite? Today, the Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred.

One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men — his crop of potential soldiers. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.
Other stories suggest that Valentine may have been killed for attempting to help Christians escape harsh Roman prisons where they were often beaten and tortured.

According to one legend, Valentine actually sent the first 'valentine' greeting himself. While in prison, it is believed that Valentine fell in love with a young girl — who may have been his jailor's daughter — who visited him during his confinement. Before his death, it is alleged that he wrote her a letter, which he signed 'From your Valentine,' an expression that is still in use today. Although the truth behind the Valentine legends is murky, the stories certainly emphasize his appeal as a sympathetic, heroic, and, most importantly, romantic figure. It's no surprise that by the Middle Ages, Valentine was one of the most popular saints in England and France...."
