This sharp lady knows how to make her haunted real estate work for her..
"Haunted Real Estate Is Scary Good Investment
(Aug. 27) -- For some people, there's not a ghost of a chance they'd ever buy a haunted property. But for others, like Annie Wilder, a copywriter in Hastings, Minn., haunted real estate can be a scary good investment.
Back in 1994, she bought a beautiful Victorian home that she suspected was spooked before she made the purchase.
"Actually, it didn't feel spooky, just out of time," Wilder told AOL News. "After we closed, the previous owner's daughter did ask if we had had any weird experiences, such as cupboards opening and closing on their own."
Turns out, that did happen. In fact, Wilder had purchased a home that was literally Grand Central Station for spirits and ghosts.
"That's what the resident spirit -- the previous owner, a German man -- told a psychic who investigated the house," Wilder said.
However, she didn't mind. She set the house up to respect the spirits who were there and established ground rules for those that didn't want to toe her line.
"We're very respectful of the ghosts," she said. "Anyone who moves into a haunted property should announce their presence and let the ghosts know you're there. When we moved in, we removed all the carpets and curtains -- which looked like they were stuck in the 1960s, but we promised him that we'd make it nice.
"On the other hand, I have no problem asking spirits to leave if they are rude to my family, friends and pets," Wilder said.
In the process, Wilder made her haunted house a true home -- and found a way to supplement her income in ways she'd never imagined..."

The Old Woman Haunting
From the scarey hauntings at AboutParanormal.com
"Some teenagers think it's fun or cool to go traipsing around disrespectfully in cemeteries on Halloween. If you've considered such an outing, consider too that you might be disturbing those who rest there... and something might even follow you home.
A 17-year-old British girl made that mistake. It wasn't Halloween, but the Spring of 1978 when a girl, identified only as Miss A by the Society of Psychical Research, and several of her friends decided to make their way through a local graveyard, trampling graves as they laughed and joked. Only Miss A and her family was to pay the price for that prank, however. Several nights later, Miss A awoke to see the apparition of an old woman sitting in a chair near her bed. The spirit was not transparent, and Miss A did not sense any harm from it. In the morning, she wrote off the experience as a weird dream.
But it wasn't. For several weeks following, Miss A repeatedly saw the ghost of the old woman - sometimes in broad daylight. It would follow Miss A from room to room, hovering less than a foot above the floor. At times it watched Miss A's every move, following her, and would freeze in place whenever she turned to confront it. And soon the encounters became more threatening.
While making tea one day, she felt an unseen force grab the tea kettle - filled with boiling water - and twist it in her hands. Miss A felt that the entity was trying to scald her. Finally, Miss A told her mother of these bizarre experiences. Mrs. A was skeptical at first - until she too saw the old woman drift across the downstairs hall and disappear into a room. The entity continued to make its presence felt. On one occasion it wrenched the vacuum cleaner from Mrs. A's hands. It would sometimes push or pull against doors that family members were trying to open or close. Miss A's father - the most diehard skeptic of the group - was even forced to believe when loud rapping noises awakened the entire household, and later when he could not explain water incessantly dripping from the kitchen ceiling. A plumber could find no leak.
The poltergeist activity escalated. Loud banging, unexplained snoring sounds, objects moved about. Then, it seemed, the entity attempted to make its identity known. Miss A was sitting with her father one day when she suddenly fell into a trance. She began to speak of another life - as the daughter of a French doctor in the 1800s. After this incident, Miss A's behavior changed noticeably and she appeared to be endowed with unexplained psychic powers: she could bend the tines of a fork just by brushing them with her fingers. Doctors and other investigators could find no rational explanation for what was happening to the A family. But they could endure no more. Miss A and her family moved out of their home of 11 years.
But the ghost was to give Miss A one last life-threatening scare. Out of a nagging curiosity, Miss A returned to the empty house one day. She found the back door broken and open. She went in. She picked up the telephone to see if it was working. Suddenly, something grabbed her by the throat. Icy, unseen fingers had grabbed Miss A by the neck and were choking her. Terrified, she managed to pull herself away and ran out the front door. Needless to say, she never returned."

JollyPollyPickins Has An Experience
In her shop announcement, JollyPollyPickens says of herself"I’m a 31 year old geek by trade, with mad love for vintage, photography and good design. I currently live with my spunky Jack Russell pup in my 80 year old on-going renovation project of a house, affectingly known as “The death of me manor”. My boyfriend of a few years is my next door neighbour.
We live in what we call the “ghettohood” a pretty colourful area of the city that is not for the faint of heart or for anyone that doesn’t see potential comedic value in living in a bad episode of “Cops.”
She has some lovely things in her shop. Some are in the video but you will want to go to her shop to catch more

She has had several experiences and lived in several haunted houses. Here is the latest story in her own words
"I live in a house where I know for sure 4 people have died in it. My ex's grandmother lives across the road from me and has been there for 61 years and she is sharp as a tack. She tells me stories all the time about my house which was built in 1929 and all the occupants that she knows of.
I have seen 2 different people in this house at various times, one time so clearly I actually thought it was a person standing down the hall. They don't really acknowledge me in the sense of looking right at me, or try to contact me or anything.
I often hear unusual sounds and I find loose change (lots of pennies) in piles around the house. I know it's not mine (I live alone) because I never leave loose change lying around. My dog also will run around the rooms playing like crazy, jumping up and down as if someone was teasing her with a toy.
All of this freaked me out the first year I lived here but I'm in my fourth year now and sorta used to it. i have never ever felt threatened or scared in my house, and some days when I come home and walk through the door it's actually like I am being comforted by something. Hard to explain.
I actually talked to a friend or a friend who is really into the occult because I almost felt guilty that these people are attached to the house and maybe I should do something to help them. It sounds ridiculous to say, but I thought maybe I should release their spirits.
The friend said that basically some people just stay where they were happy after they pass and it's not a haunting per say, they are just content to be there.
Still when I see them now or feel like someone is nearby I always tell them that they can go and I promise to look after their home."
