George's Dream Nightmare or Precognitive?

George is a physist.We have been friends since days at UVA when we were neighbors.We spent many hours arguing about UFO's.He did not believe in any of "that mumbojumbo stuff" of the paranormal.Recently, near his birthday,he was terribly troubled by dreams happening almost every night for several weeks.He was haunted through his dreams by a man dressed in some costume wearing jewelry (he hates men's jewelry) and painted or with tattoo."He seems to know me and wants to tell me something but he says nothing.It is beginning to worry me.I am not sleeping at all.What is going on?"
I gave him the standard psych answer "Maybe you are worried about aging .your birthday is coming up."He blew that off as usual with a few choice words.
His birthday is on Halloween.A few days before,I heard from his wife.She was very excited.She was planning a surprise party.A costume party.She told him they were going to one and had his costume picked out.One of their friends was coming as an authentic Tribal warrier.Another had shavd his head and was using fake tattoos on his face and neck
Her birthday gift to George was "an appointment for an Exotic Piercing of his ear" which she had been encouraging him to have for two months.

Since his birthday he has had no more dreans...What do you think,nightmare or precognitive? Can you pick him from the animoto video?

A Nurse Has A Visit

A nurse who would like to not have her name or crafts used shared this story with permission it might be used here.In her own words:

".I'm an RN and used to work with the elderly. I know you're not supposed to have "favorites", but this one man was such a sweetheart. He was so patient and kind, and was always so grateful for any help he received. I had only been working on this unit a short while, but he always remembered my name. He had a stroke a while back and had his one arm in a sling and was not able to walk.

Anyways, I had a dream one night that I was talking with this same sweet elderly man, only he was standing tall and didn't have his arm in a sling. He addressed me by my name and said he just wanted to say thank-you for all I had done for him. He then shook my hand and disappeared.

Well the next day I received a call from work saying this man had passed away in his sleep and they wanted to let me know when the funeral was in case I had wanted to attend."

Thank you.A touching reminder of loving care.

What About Current Moms Of Soldiers?

My social life in the Golden Years is practically non-existent so I have not heard any mothers from the current War on Terror who have had experiences of Crisis Apparition of their sons or daughters who have been in harms way or unfortunately killed.Have you?

Throughout history this has been a fairly regular happening.Personally, I have heard parents of veterans from WWII,Korea and Vietnam relate visits from or visions of their sons at the time of danger or death.History tells of these from the Revolutionary and Civil wars as well.

Working at a VA facility several of the patients had experienced preminitions or visions of their own coming disaster or that of a fellow serviceman.At that time the number of women in the military was limited.From World War Two the most were from pilots whereas from Vietnam more were foot soldiers, of those who told me.From the parents, it did not seem any more comon to any one group.It was never terrifying to the parent only sad or comforting.

It seems likely that this is happening today as well.My guess id that I just am not around enough people whose children are there or people who have served there to hear.It would be of interest to know that the bond is there as has been true throughout the tragic circumstances of war...

Crisis Appariatiitions

Around the middle of the 1800's a little 10 year old girl was walking along a country lane in England.Apparently unusually bright, she was reading a book on Geometry.Suddenly the scene in front of her faded abd changed.She saw instead, the bedroom in her house known as The White Room.There her mother lay still and unmoving on the floor as if she were dead.

The clear and complete vision remained before her eyes vividly for several minutes before fading slowly away.

She ran immediately to the home of the family doctor and persuaded him to accompany her to the house..When they arrived the girl's father was just coming into the drive as well.He had been riding with a friend.
The three rushed to the room and found the woman lying on the floor as the daughter had described.She had a heart attack.Because the doctor had arrived so soon, her life was saved..

The book Ghosts and Poltergeists by Framk Smythe, explains:

"The fact that so many appaeatitions are of people who,at the moment they are seen, are undergoing some physical or mentalcrisis has led psychical researcher to draw the conclusion that the apparatition is a kind of mesage sent telepathically from the person undergoing the criis to the peron who sees the figure."(page 24)

Have you had this happen?I have not personally but know several credible people with such experiences.

Fortelling The Fate of The Titanic

The Titanic has fascinated people since the disaster occurred.The Movie brought even more people around,You have heard of several psychics having warned of the wreck.Even the three people who changed their travel arrangements because of bad feelings or attempted to persuade a spouse not to go.Here is a story you might not have heard.

On April 14, 1912, the huge "unsinkable" ship the Titanic was steaming across the Atlantic towards New York. This was the Titanic's maiden voyage, and her captain was Encouraged to break the record for speed while making the voyage. As most people know, after striking an iceberg, the unsinkable ship went down in only a matter of hours. Out of the 2,201 passengers, only 711 were saved. Since then, there have been many books and movies about the Titanic.

There was one fictional story written by a merchant seaman by the name of Morgan Robertson. Robertson's book was about an unsinkable passenger liner that sank while carrying the elite people of the time. The ship in Robertson's story was called the Titan and the book was titled The Wreck of the Titan. Even though the book is fictitious, the events in the story parallel the events of the Titanic. Both ships were built to be unsinkable. Both ships sank after striking an iceberg. Both ships were on their maiden voyage. The most well to do famous people were on the Titan and Titanic. Only one third of the passengers on each ship survived. Both ships had an inadequate number of lifeboats. Both ships were encouraged to break speed records during their voyage.

Robertson's book The Wreck of the Titan was never published. Each time it was rejected by editor's, they told him the same thing. The story was unbelievable. Surely the events he wrote of could not possibly happen to an unsinkable ship.



The book, The Wreck of the Titan was written in 1898, fourteen years before the Titanic hit an iceberg and settled on the bottom of the ocean.The original book was called Futility, but when it was reissued after the Titanic disaster, it was renamed Futility, or The Wreck of the Titan.




Robertson later wrote a book called "Beyond the Spectrum". In this book, he described a futuristic war fought with aircraft that carried what he called "sun bombs". These bombs were so powerful that with one brilliant flash of blinding light, one single bomb could destroy an entire city (much like a nuclear bomb ). When this book was written, airplanes were still tiny, dangerous machines that could barely carry one man, and crashed frequently, and this was decades before the Germans started their "heavy water" experiments, trying to construct a nuclear device.

Robertson's future war begins in the month of December (much like the actual WW II, which began in December) when the Japanese stage a sneak attack on Hawaii. (WW II was started when the Japanese launched a sneak attack on an American base -Pearl Harbor, in Hawaii.)

Weird, to say the least. Who knows how in the world he came up with this "crazy" stuff at the time. He was probably laughed at by his peers in the book industry, too.

More Precognitive Dreams

Of twenty two Etsy Artists who spoke in a forum about having Precognitive dreams,2 had dreamed of 9/11 before it happened,1 had dreamed of the Malibu fires before they occurred.7 dreamed of the pregnancy of themselves ,friends or family with 2 having told the couple before they knew themselves and one sure of the sex of her expected baby although it was doubted by others,also 2 dreamed of deaths of family members.Interesting, isn't it?Additionally one showed other indications of clairvoyancy.Unfortunately one had only tragic and frightening dreams of this sort while a second did not dream but had a physical reaction as a premonition in the fore of such occasions.Do you think Creative people are more inclined toward these experiences?
A national and internationally known leader in Nursing dreamed as a young nurse working in the hospital of the fire and death of Zoe Fitzgerald wife of F.Scott Fitzgerald at a Psychiatric Hospital in NC when she was a patient there.A fire destroyed the hospital and several patients were killed.

I dreamed for months that I was going to get hit by an olive green station wagon while riding my bicycle on my childhood street. But it was like I was inside me, watching it happen, and it happened in slow motion; I was looking out through my eyes as though I were wearing a mask, and then I saw my mouth opening slowly to scream when I saw the car coming at me, about to hit me, and right when it hit / was about to hit, I snapped awake.

The freakier thing by far is that my mother had the exact same dream for the same time period, and the morning of my accident, she told me she didn’t want me to be riding my bicycle that day. When the paramedics called her to tell her what had happened, she knew it.

That is a touching experience.And the mother did not doubt her as she had the same dream...

"It was a year to the day BEFORE my grandfather died that I drempt he died, and exactly how and what he did all day before and what happened right after. I know it was exactly to the day because on March 4, 1989 I woke up, kind of stunned, stumbled to the bathroom, looked into the mirror and completely lost it. I was in major tears bordering on hysterics. My little brother (Jasen, he's now 32) was up at the same time and got my mother. I told her the dream and she said it was ok, it's just a dream. I didn't know that my brother Jasen was doing a family journal for a school project and was to wirte down interesting things that happen, or funny, or whatever.

A year later my grandfather died EXACTLY down to what he was wearing, what he did, and the fact my grandmother was so frazzled, she couldn't figure out to dial 911, she called my cousin.

To this day, it still freaks me out."

Personal Precognitive Dreams From Nurses

I have told you before about Roberta and her many talents in the paranormal area.She also had precognitive dreams.We had a patient in her early thirties who was really disturbed but whose medical condition required she have surgery.In these incidences,staff from the Psych units had to provide 24 hour one- to- one coverage for the patient on the Surgical unit as they were frightened by our patients in general and we and they wanted quality care.While scheduling this,Roberta called and said.."If Jean is assigned to surgery,she is going to be attacked by another patient."
This was before the closet door situation which increased my trust in her abilities.It also was about 4AM and I was asleep.I said something hopefully appropriate and to the point that was impossible, it was Surgical not Psych where Jean would be the next morning with our patient."I know,"Roberta argued"I just had this dream and it was so real.A big bushy haired guy in the room across the hall came in and grabbed her from behind.She fought and yelled but by the time the staff heard and came with the Security guard,her nose was bleeding and her glasses were broken." To make a shorter story,I did tell Jean about Roberta's dream and she laughed.After lunch though she was not laughing,You can guess what happened.Score me 0 and Roberta 1 with poor Jean the victim.The guy did not like her long blonde hair, and he was not a psych patient.(I was able to use that when the frightened medical and nursing students began their rotation with us.An illustration that you are safer on a psych unit than elsewhere in the hospital and on the street.)
This is a good example of a specific precognitive dream where the future might have been changed should either Jean or I acted differently.It is similar to those where a traveler having "bad feelings" about his or her trip and cancels it.This happened to three people for the Titanic, and am sure you have heard of these occurrences when a plane crashes.

Some clarvoyants have prophetic dreams which come true.These dreams or process is called precognitive dreaming.(Meaning before knowing).Not all clairvoyants have this ability.But all who have precognitive dreams are clairvoyant
.Dream researchers give various statistics about how common these precognitive dreams are.The majority agree that from 35% to 40% of people have experienced one or more precognitive dreams although many may be of mundane occurrences like where or what you are going to eat while others may involve friends or family.Some more notable precognitive dreams involve illness,accidents or death of either someone they know or strangers.One is likely to remember those.



Abraham Lincoln dreamed that he awakened to noise and walked in his carpet slippers downstairs in The White House.He saw a number of men and women he knew gathered around a casket weeping.He asked a White House Aide there "Who has died?" "Why,it is the President,sir" was the answer.He walked over and looked upon himself lying in the casket.Two months later it was just as he described from his dream.



Mark Twain told a friend that he dreamed of his brother lying in a coffin.Described the store around the area and several other things. Two or three weeks later (I do not remember for sure) his brother was killed in a boat explosion.When he arrived to claim the body, the town which he had never visited and the coffin were just as he had seen in the dream.
