Big Foot Little One Wants To Learn?

Teachers at Mathiba Primary School in Maun had to abruptly end classes last week Friday after students reported seeing a hairy little creature.

Regional Director for North West District in the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Acro Maseko said that they had to send students back home after Standard 6 and 7 students claimed to have seen ‘a black little hairy creature which resembled a human being.’

The incident which happened around 12 noon culminated in ten students treated for shock at a local clinic and released the same day.

“We will be holding prayers in the school soon after meeting parents and chiefs but for now we had asked for professional councillors to help. “

Maseko further said that although teachers did not see anything, students screamed and ran amok while others fainted which made it hard for classes to continue with classes on that day.

“Standard 7 students are about to startr exams and events of such nature which spark mass hysteria sometimes happen to them in this area,” a teacher said.

When quizzed about past incidents, Maseko said that he was new in the area and was not familiar with past incidents. - The Voice BW

"...a woman in Newaygo County, Mich., told Discovery News that she has been interacting with and actually feeding a large family of close to 10 Bigfoot-like creatures who live in the woods near her home for the past two years.

"They get fish every day, a bucket of fruit, a bucket of dry dog food," said Robin Lynn Pfeifer, a 47-year-old resident of Newaygo County, north of Grand Rapids. "Their favorite thing is blueberry bagels. If I'm not baking them, I go to different stores to buy them."

"I tell them they are feeding the wildlife," Pfeifer said.

She said she has collected casts of many large footprints, but says the creatures are too shy and too clever for her to get a photograph. She describes the Bigfoots as ranging from six to nine feet tall and looking like humans, except for hairy coats and broad noses.

"The biggest one I've sat and looked at for 15 minutes was nine and a half feet tall," Pfeifer told Discovery News. "The large male is all black. Others are beige and white. The biggest footprint is 18 and a half inches long."

Skeptics say that big claims need big proof, and so far that hasn't happened when it comes to Bigfoot. Natural history and evolutionary scientists also ask how these creatures could have survived for so long without being detected, and where the evidence is of their body or bones or DNA.

Loren Coleman directs the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine and has been studying and writing about strange sightings of creatures for several decades. He says he's skeptical of anyone who comes forward with tales of lengthy Bigfoot encounters without providing serious evidence.

"All the Bigfoot contactees -- for some reason they never take photographs," Coleman said. "There's a lot of interest in finding these things, but we have to look of the credibility of the people feeding us the stories. I'm always careful of two kinds of people, the debunkers who have no interest and true believers who will not bring any critical thinking."..."

"Siberian Locals Complain Yeti Eats Too Much

The local Shor people in Kemerovo Region, Siberia, are reporting that something is snatching up the wild leek crop that is a staple of their diet, Itar-Tass Siberia reports. The onion-lovers leave behind abundant large footprints with clearly defined toes, similar to the prints found in the area earlier this year, the news service continues.

Bigfoot sightings are common in this remote section of the taiga and they have received attention worldwide. An expedition headed by director of the International Center for Hominology Igor Burtsev visited the area at the end of March to study footprints found in Azasskaya Cave, but the effort resulted in little
new information.

Now local Tashtagol District administrator Vladimir Makuta notes that he has received 14 new written reports of yeti sightings near the cave and the nearby Mrassu River. The witnesses say the creature – thought by some to be a relict hominoid – is 1.5-2 meters (5-6.5 feet) tall and covered in reddish black fur."

Will Floods Mean More Sightings?

"ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOX) –They haven’t seen anything yet, but a group searching for proof of Bigfoot is alert for reports along the Missouri River, where they believe heavy flooding could disrupt the legendary creature’s normal comings and goings.

“We’re definitely going to keep our eye open for more reports that might come in, because the creatures might be a little displaced from all that flooding,” said investigator Rachel Luffman with the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, “They might be venturing into areas where there are more people, and more people might be seeing them.”

An online community of some 400 Bigfoot researchers nationwide, the BFRO investigates sightings and looks for patterns. One pattern, Luffman says is clear — where there’s water, there’s Bigfoot.
“Over the years, we found that it really does seem like sasquatches do tend to use river systems and creeks as roadways,” Luffman said, “They tend to stick close to fresh water and they stick close to those rivers. If the rivers start flooding, they might be moving out of their comfort zone.”

"Knobby" NC Bigfoot?

There’s a new video of Knobby, the North Carolina Bigfoot. A Shelby, N.C. man allegedly captured video of the state’s Bigfoot. Thomas Byers e-mailed NewsChannel 36, saying he saw Bigfoot walk across Golden Valley Church Road in Rutherford County Tuesday evening, March 22, 2011. Byers’ told WNBC that he was about 15 to 20 feet away from the creature when he captured a five-second video.

Channel 36’s Jeremy Markovich wrote the following, in part, about this affair:

The guy, a disabled Vietnam-era veteran from Fallston named Thomas Byers, told me Bigfoot crossed the road right in front of him. Byers and his friend Carolyn were driving to a cemetery to shoot some video when they saw something climbing up a road bank. Byers stopped the truck and got out the camera. Bigfoot looked at him. He threw up his hands and snarled. Then he took off into the brush.


Byers got four seconds of video. Blurry, dark video. He saw Bigfoot for a minute. Tops. He described the Sasquatch was around seven feet tall, 300 pounds, with yellow teeth. It left behind six-toed footprints. It gave off the stench of decay, and it also had something that’s not found on most gorilla costumes. “It was very clear to both of us that it was a male,” Byers said, fumbling around for the most polite words. “I mean, you could see, I don’t want to say, trying to think, uh, you could see its private parts.”

Big Foot In My Country?

"BURKE COUNTY, N.C. -- A team of researchers affiliated with legendary ‘Bigfoot Hunter’ Tom Biscardi traveled from Alabama to Hickory, N.C. Sunday to investigate recent footprint sightings.

“It’s not a fake. You have certain telltale signs,” said Robert Price. He pointed to dermal ridges like a handprint and midtarsal break. He said it's evidence of a foot that bends in the middle, unlike a human’s foot.

Price is in Hickory this weekend with two other Alabama researchers to compare a track found recently in Burke County, to one found in Texas.

“The possibility is definitely there. It's not to be overlooked,” he said.


The large, muddy and mysterious footprint has captured imaginations in the area.

A farmer said he recently stumbled across a larger-than-life footprint near the intersection of Highway 18 and George Hildebran School Road in the southern part of Burke County.

Pork Lowman said he was walking in the woods when he came across the print, which measures 15 by 8 inches.

“It's out here in no-man's land, and that's what really got me,” Lowman said."
